A Portuguese frigate [under NATO command] foiled a pirate attack on a tanker in the Gulf of Aden and captured eight pirates after firing shots at their boat, the armed forces command in Lisbon said. Incident: Maersk Phoenix attacked
The Singapore-flagged tanker Maersk-Phoenix is attacked by pirates armed with rifles and rocket propelled grenades in the Gulf of Aden off the port of Bossaso.
